To make sure you understand what is expected, here are some tips to consider.
1. Attendance - 32 hours
Students are expected to attend all four classes. If an excused absence of one session out of an 8 hour day is necessary, notify the Instructor in advance of the class and the material will be covered with the student after class. Students are not allowed any full-day absences. All missed work is to be made up and turned in as soon as possible after the missed session. We will make every effort to provide training during 2 consecutive weekends.
2. Quizzes
Students will be given four practice quizzes, and one mock exam to be reviewed during class time. Please prepare in advance by reviewing class notes and homework reading assignments.
3. Pre-Registration
Registration must be made in advance with the Office at 561-392-3574, by fax to 1+877-226-9219, or by email: info@agooddaughter.com. Payment of $375 via check, credit card, or cash will be made payable to A Good Daughter Inc and must be received two days before beginning date of in-class instruction. If paying by personal check, mailing address is listed below. If paying by credit card, please fax a credit card authorization form to 877-226-9219. Credit card authorization form should be faxed to office at least 2 days prior to start date.

4. Competency Exam
You must register and pay for the examination in advance. Your application and fee must be received by USF no later than 10 busines days before the examination date. All tests are administered on Saturday except for those administered in Tampa anjd Tallahassee. After your application is processed, you will be sent an admission letter. Please refer to your admission letter for your reporting time and specific reporting location. You may request either morning or afternoon test sessions; however, due to the large number of applications anticipated, your request may not be accomodated if your application is received by USF close to the registration deadline. 5. Contacting the Instructor
You may feel free to contact the Instructor at any of the listed numbers or through email. The Instructor is available to answer any of your questions, either in or out of class. If you need suggestions or if you have specificd questions in preparing to meet the Core Training Exam requirements, please contact us to advise you of the available resources to support your learning goals.
6. Goals
An ALF training provider should be able to help you find resources to help establish your professional goals. Marketing techniques will be discussed during the training.
7. Consultation
As you progress through your licensing requirements and feel the need to have additional help in meeting the standards set up by the Agency for Health Care Administration, we will be happy to provide you with resources for consultative services.
8. Guarantee
While there are many factors in beginning a new career, you are paying for a service and should end up satisfied. Please understand we will strive to meet your expectations for passing the Core Competency Exam as that is what we are designed to provide. Beyond that, you must do your part by reviewing all reading assignments, reviewing the quizzes, and the Florida Statutes and Administrative Codes governing the Administration of ALFs. This formula will lead to your success.
9. Fees
Registration Fee is $375 and includes all materials.
